Franco Lucci is an entrepreneur and is on the verge of bankruptcy. A major public contract seems like the only way to save his company. To get it, Franco would have to count on the intervention of Minister Rolando Giardi, with whom he has established relations and whom he has now invited to dinner. The man, along with his brother-in-law and business partner Michele, has organized the perfect night out: they pay him a hefty bribe and make sure he finds a girl willing to sleep with him. All this under the eyes of Rita, Franco’s wife, who supports her husband in this desperate attempt to salvage all their privileges. But things don’t go as planned because of the girl chosen for the minister… A negative portrait of contemporary society is offered by Giorgio Amato’s new film, “The Hunter” (2014), which returns a year after its debut. The main actors are Gianmarco Tognazzi (seen in cinemas in 2015 with “La Usliche Komödie – Inferno” and on the small screen in the mini-series “Luisa Spagnoli” in 2016), in the role of Franco Lucci, Fortunato Cerlino (whom we remember in the cast of the soap opera “Un place in the sun” and the film “Gomorrah” in 2008) in the role of the minister, and then Alessia Barela (whom we remembered in “Alle fault of Freud” in 2014 and “Io e lei” in 2015) and Edoardo Pesce in 2016 with “Solo”.
