06:27 – Media, US considering deployment of Stryker armored vehicles
According to sources familiar with the dossier cited by the Politico website, the United States is considering sending Stryker armored fighting vehicles to Ukraine as part of an upcoming aid package to help Kyiv repel an expected Russian spring offensive. The news follows the Biden administration’s announcement last week that it would send 50 Bradley Fighting Vehicles, a powerful tracked armored personnel carrier carrying an autocannon, machine gun and towed missiles. According to US newspaper sources, the Strykers could be part of the next tranche of military aid. The US government could announce the package late next week at a meeting of Ukraine’s Defense Contact Group in Germany.
11:43 p.m. – Because Wagner wants Bakhmut and Soledar at all costs
(Andrea Marinelli and Guido Olimpio) Evgeny Prigozhin wants to conquer the Bakhmut Adits, an extensive network used for salt and gypsum mines. The Wagner boss asked the media to explain the persistence of the attacks on the Ukrainian site. For five months, the private company’s mercenaries have been attacking to breach the defenses around Bakhmut and the Soledar suburb, the epicenter of the battle. Militiamen – including ex-convicts who were released on condition they wore uniforms – reservists and regulars occupied enemy lines, leaving hundreds of elements on the field and inflicting equally heavy casualties among the defenders. To this reality, the director of the Kremlin’s favorite company added the detail of the galleries in the Soledar area, tens of kilometers long, with gigantic rooms where concerts and events were held in the past.

11:41 PM – Zelensky, heavy attacks on Soledar, soldiers resist
Ukrainian forces are resisting fresh and even tougher attacks on Soledar, near the eastern town of Bakhmut, which Moscow has been attempting to capture for months. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his traditional evening speech. I thank all our soldiers who protect our Bakhmut … (and) all fighters of Soledar who resist the new and even harder attacks of the invaders! Zelensky said, adding that his troops had more time and (received) forces for the Ukraine have won .
21:21 – Anti-personnel mines in Ukraine, Crosetto: The Russians are lying because they know they are lying
The Russian Embassy in Italy lies, as does the Russian Foreign Ministry, and knows they are lying about the anti-personnel mines allegedly manufactured and sold by Italy. Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto denounced this in a note. In particular, the latest tweet from the Russian embassy contains intentionally misleading, untrue and grossly defamatory information, Crosetto added, allusive and biased propaganda against our country, which has always respected the rules of international law. What is surprising is the use of fake news and photos taken out of context to mislead the reader into completely wrong conclusions. The mines reproduced in the tweet (1 anti-personnel and 2 anti-tank mines) are reminiscent of Italian-made Valsella/Tecnovar mines, which cannot be Italian for a variety of reasons, the defense owner added.
21:18 – USA, Sullivan: People and Congress continue to support Ukraine
A majority of Americans and the US Congress continue to support Ukraine and its efforts to bring military aid to the country. This was announced by White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. “I think the overwhelming majority of Democrats and Republicans … and the vast majority of the American people continue to strongly support the policy of providing Ukraine with the means of self-defense,” Sullivan told reporters. Sullivan said narratives of declining support for Ukraine were the result of a “distinct minority” single-party party. Support for Ukraine affects all parts of the country and people from all walks of life, Sullivan added.
