Gwyneth Paltrow said on Monday’s episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS that she loved being famous in the ’90s.
James asked the Hollywood star what it was like to be famous in the ’90s after he joked about putting cocaine by the side of the bus.
“It was great to talk about doing cocaine and not getting caught,” Gwyneth said, laughing. “You could just have fun in a bar and dance on the table.”

“No camera phones,” James said.
“No camera phones like in New York especially, interestingly there were no paparazzi there,” Gwyneth said. “You could stumble out of a bar and walk home with a rando and nobody would know.”
Wearing a black cropped halter top and skirt with a chunky gold link chain, the 50-year-old Goop founder also shared her cravings for pregnancy while pregnant with daughter Apple.
“I wanted apples, yogurt, Swiss cheese, and Baskin-Robbins Jamoca Almond Fudge ice cream,” Gwyneth said. “That’s all I wanted.”

“I have to say I loved every single phase and every phase I felt like, ‘Oh, I wish I could freeze time like I’ll never love her more than that,'” Gwyneth said. “And then you just love her more.”
Gwyneth also thanked James for driving Moses home once.
“We only talked about music,” James said. “He got out of the car and me and Jules were like, ‘Well, he’s the coolest person we’ve ever met’.”

“It’s a big change because it’s really hilarious and has a big presence,” Gwyneth said. “So if we’re sitting at the dinner table and someone says to Moses, ‘What’s it like when your sister isn’t home?’ And he’s like “quiet”.
James asked Gwyneth to talk about her new Audible series Goop Pursuits and what inspired her to create the series.
“At Goop, we’re always trying to find interesting ways with content to reach new audiences and somehow advance the culture and have interesting conversations,” Gwyneth said. “This is an audio series. There are four parts. It’s on Audible.’

“The first is about pleasure, because I think we have an interesting, weird relationship with pleasure in our culture,” Gwyneth said. “Especially women, we’re so freaked out about having pleasure, not just sexual pleasure…”
Gwyneth said she is very excited for the series, which starts Thursday.
