After its big comeback to the small screen last year, Le Guide de l’auto does it again, presenting its second season on TVA.
This year we have a long season of 26 episodes in store for you, airing every Saturday at 11:30am. On the Guide de l’auto website it is also possible to watch repeat programs as soon as they are broadcast.
With our columnists Antoine Joubert, Gabriel Gélinas and Mathieu Roy, the Car Guide program takes on the task of covering a car from top to bottom each week that has been tested here on the streets of Quebec. “It was filmed at the Circuit Mécaglisse in Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci,” points out Antoine Joubert, who presented the new version of the show during a recent visit to Salut Bonjour.
A big novelty at the start of the season
During the first show of the season, which aired last Saturday, the spectacular Lucid Air was shown. “It’s an exceptional car that costs more than $200,000,” explains Antoine Joubert, who indicates that certain more common vehicles will be judged throughout the season. Episode 2, which airs January 14, is also assigned the Toyota Tundra pickup truck.
Of course, the electrified models will have a big place in the show. “Almost 50% of the vehicles that we will be testing this year will be plug-in hybrids or 100% electric,” analyzes Antoine Joubert, adding that the vast majority of new models presented today are hybrid or electric vehicles.
