Cardi B and husband Offset are teaming up for the big McDonald’s Super Bowl ad… after filming around the holiday season
Cardi B and her husband Offset have signed on for a major ad campaign with a major company, McDonald’s.
The WAP rapper, 30, and the Migos member, 31, were collaborating on a commercial for the iconic fast-food brand that was set to air during the Super Bowl, TMZ reported Tuesday.
The duo apparently tried to keep the ad a secret since they shot it with a modest crew, but the outlet reports that it’s an ambitious commercial designed to garner significant attention during the massive sporting event.
Sources added that the ad will focus on the couple’s love for each other to fit a Valentine’s Day theme.

The Super Bowl takes place on Sunday, February 12, two days before Valentine’s Day, so it should be the ideal timing for both events.
The ad will reportedly focus solely on the couple, with no involvement of any of their children.
Cardi and Offset made the unusual decision to rotate the ad around the holiday season, but it was apparently the best time for their schedules.
They reportedly decided that shooting then would be ideal, as most stars take a break from their work and business commitments around the holidays.

Holiday shoot: The video, which only shows the couple and not their children, was shot around Christmas when they were less busy
Filming around the holiday season may have also given the two a chance to keep the video under the radar to salvage the surprise Super Bowl premiere.
Cardi, in particular, is no stranger to Super Bowl commercials, having filmed a high-profile clip for Pepsi in 2019.
During this hilarious ad, the Bodak Yellow rapper shared her catchphrase, “okurrr,” with patrons and soda fans at Los Angeles’ popular Pann’s coffee shop and diner.

New Year: Cardi and Offset have been staying close lately and have continued to perform as a couple. The two bid a hard goodbye to New Year’s Eve 2022 when they rapped together on stage at E11even in Miami, Florida (pictured).

Cardi and Offset first started dating in 2017, and the couple welcomed four-year-old daughter Kulture the following year.
The couple secretly married in September 2017 but later filed for divorce before getting back together and welcoming their son Wave.
