After a year of forced closure last year after allegations of racism, sexism and corruption were made to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the Golden Globes ceremony was back on TV Tuesday night. Hosted by African-American comedian Jerrod Carmichael, the gala featured a celebrity line-up of diversity and inclusion.

African American gay comedian Jerrod Carmichael was hired to host the ceremony, which took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
“I’m here because I’m black,” he quipped in his opening monologue. Absent Australian-American actress Cate Blanchett won the statuette for Best Actress in a Feature Film, Drama Category for Tár. Also absent, popular actress Zendaya won Best Actress in a Series for Euphoria. Comedian Julia Garner won the award for Best Actress in a Miniseries for her role as Ruth on the series Ozark, while Paul Walter Hauser deferred the award for his role in the crime series Black Bird.
The hilarious Jennifer Coolidge has unsurprisingly received an award for her role in the popular series The White Lotus. Alongside The White Lotus, it won Best Miniseries, Anthology Series, or Telefilm. House of Dragons won Best Drama TV Series and actor Kevin Cosner, 67, won Best Actor in a Drama TV Series for Yellowstone.
Best Miniseries Actress went to Amanda Seyfried – who was absent from the ceremony due to filming – for The Dropout and Best Actor went to Evan Peters for his role as a serial killer in Dahmer: Monster – The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer.
The Best Supporting Actor award went to 51-year-old Vietnamese-American actor Ke Huy Quan for his role in the film Everything Everywhere All at Once. His colleague, Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh, was also recognized for this film.
Best Supporting Actress went to Angela Bassett for her role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The latter spoke at the start of “the strength of the black community”: “This award belongs to all of us! »

Actor Tyler James Williams won Best Supporting Actor for Abbott Elementary. Her sidekick on the show, Quinta Brunson, also won the award for Best Actress in a Musical TV Series for this series, which she wrote herself.
