Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews will miss Wednesday’s game against the Nashville Predators due to an undisclosed injury.

The day before, the star player missed training with his family but attended an optional session the next day. Chief Instructor Sheldon Keefe said his case is evaluated daily.

Matthews has recorded 20 goals and 27 assists for 47 points in 41 games this season. He has put his name on the top scorer list in his last five games, scoring once in Sunday’s 6-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers.
