Willie Nelson’s Tennessee home, which was listed four months ago, was officially delisted after it sold for $2.14 million.

The 89-year-old country music star – who recently guest-starred alongside Dolly Parton on her final Christmas special – was inspired by a cabin fire for his hit song “Shotgun Willie.”

Hand built by the Country Music Hall of Fame singer himself, the three bedroom home surrounded by scenic countryside is just 30 minutes outside of bustling Nashville city.

The welcoming home was originally listed for $2.5 million in October 2022 and officially sold for around $2.1 million.

Since he built the rustic retreat with his own hands, “the only people who have ever lived in the cabin are the country legend himself and the current renters,” according to People.

Nelson’s former home sits on a whopping 150 acres and is surrounded by lush greenery, trees, a barn and a few ponds.

The exterior of the cabin consists of handcrafted pieces of wood and stone detailing on the steps, the base of the porch and also the chimney.

The staircase leads up to a large wooden veranda that comfortably seats chairs to give residents the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy the surrounding naturist views. For a unique touch, a red roof was featured over the house.

Upon entering, there was a soothing and cheerful living room connected directly to a kitchen, with walls made of log detailing. Exposed wooden beams and a vaulted ceiling offer residents a warm feeling.

The kitchen cabinets and storage spaces are also made of classic wood, with numerous windows that allow plenty of natural light to flood in.

Lighting fixtures in the ceiling include a retro-inspired gold chandelier above the kitchen table. Two separate ceiling fans have also been added, with wooden blades to match the theme of the home.

A large red Persian rug is placed in the center of the living room along with a smaller rectangular matching rug near the entryway.

A ladder was featured on the wall leading to a second level loft area currently serving as a third bedroom. The interior also contains a bathroom.

The fireplace is a main feature in the cabin and is made entirely of stone, giving the room a 1970’s vibe.

In 1970, a fire broke out in the house, and when Willie returned to see the cabin gobbled up, he braved the flames to retrieve his guitar, named Trigger, along with a pound of marijuana.

After the incident, the country singer later earned the nickname Shotgun Willie, which became the inspiration for the hit track and studio album of the same name, released in 1973.
