A disgruntled guest slammed his sports car into the doors of a Chinese hotel and drove uncontrolled through the lobby, leaving a trail of devastation after arguing with staff over his missing laptop.
Videos posted to social media showed a white convertible smashing through the doors of Shanghai’s Central Hotel, reversing and then crashing into the lobby.
“He’s gone mad!” Say the guests in astonishment as the vehicle destroys everything in its path.
The car ended its journey at the other exit door with all emergency lights on.

“Any idea what you just did?” some shouted, seeing what had happened, while others tried to extricate the man from the vehicle.
According to the police, the driver is a 28yearold guest who is said to have argued with the hotel staff after his notebook disappeared.
Hotel staff confirmed to AFP that the device was stolen and found outside the hotel.
There were no injuries, police said on the social network Weibo.
The driver has been arrested and is awaiting investigation.
