As they wait for the “secret” behind Thomas Raggi’s performance on the Roman Terrace to be revealed, fans are content to scour social media for clues to the new single and forthcoming album.
For example, just a few days ago, Damiano shocked fans by shaving and sharing the video of the haircut and the final result on social networks. “The rumor has it that Damiano has his head completely shaved,” the group’s profile reads alongside the photo, which shows the 24-year-old balding while guitarist Thomas holds a razor behind him.
An opportunity to announce the new unreleased “Gossip”, born of the collaboration with Tom Morello, historical guitarist for Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, and a preview of the album “Rush”, which will be released on January 20th the world will see. The third album by Damiano David, Victoria De Angelis, Thomas Raggi and Ethan Torchio It consists of 17 tracks and is their first record sung predominantly in English. A project that has been eagerly awaited worldwide and has already convinced critics and insiders.
And “conquer all” seems to be the motto of this band, which has experienced an exponential rise in the last two years, topping the world charts and taking home numerous official awards.
Most recently, an award at the American Music Awards for the best rock song of the year (Beggin’). Damiano, Ethan, Thomas and Victoria took to the prestigious stage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles in suspenders and thanked everyone for renewed international recognition.
A few months earlier, the Maneskins had picked up another win in August. At the MTV Video Music Awards, the Roman band led by Damiano David won the award for “Best Alternative Video of the Year” for the song “I wanna be your slave”. The four record-breaking glam rock kids took the stage at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ with a raucous live performance of their new hit “Supermodel”… complete with a few seconds of television censorship.
As far as the extravagant performances by the four Roman boys are concerned, not everyone liked the last concert at the end of the American tour in Las Vegas in December. The band members made a gesture that got social media users discussing it: they smashed musical instruments on stage. All this is evidenced by videos and photos posted on Instagram by the same group.
The Maneskins Post – “This was totally unexpected and we may have gone a little too far but we loved it! Chaos and destruction in Las Vegas aside, our North American trip has just come to an end and we’re already missing it all. We couldn’t be happier about the time we had with you and the love you showed us! The energy you brought to every single concert made this tour simply unforgettable. We’re counting down the days until we return. We love you, thank you,” Maneskin wrote on Instagram accompanying photos and videos of them destroying musical instruments.
A point against, maybe the first and hopefully last, the Italian Band of Records.
