You are so cute I could EAT you…if it wasn’t for that jar! Chinese toddler is unimpressed when lioness tries to sink her fangs into him
- A toddler stands in front of a lion cage at a zoo in Liaoning province, China
- Behind his back, a lioness bared her fangs and tried to hit his head
- The boy then stretches out his hand, which the predator tries to lick
This is the hilarious moment when an adorable toddler happily doesn’t realize a feral lioness is desperately trying to eat him from behind the glass of a zoo enclosure.
Footage, taken at Shenyang Zoo in Liaoning Province, China, shows the cub posing with his back to an adult pair of lions.
In the background, the lioness begins to assess the child and stares intensely at it.
Suddenly, the predator raises its paws, which are the same size as the toddler’s head, to grab it, but is confused when it touches the divider glass.
An adorable toddler is happily unaware that a wild lioness is desperately trying to eat him behind the glass of a zoo enclosure
The fearsome cat then bares its teeth and opens its jaws as wide as possible in hopes of eating the unassuming youngster.
Meanwhile, the cub stands face forward, oblivious to the lioness’ attempt to eat him.
His mother – unnamed in local media – sits behind the camera and watches as her cub then fearlessly approaches the glass cage and puts his hand right in front of the lioness.
Adorably, the big cat then seems to view the boy as friend rather than prey and begins trying to lick his hand as if grooming him.
She even tries to sniff the cub through the cage and seems to figure out if the cub is food or play.
