Prince Harry has claimed King Charles was jealous of the Princess of Wales’ media coverage and allegedly accused her and Prince William of “deflecting attention away from him and Camilla”.
In his bombshell book Spare, which hit shelves on Tuesday, the Duke of Sussex described how his father “controlled the purses for his brother” – meaning how much the Prince of Wales worked was essentially dictated by his father.
When the then-Duchess of Cambridge announced she was expecting Princess Charlotte in 2014, Prince Harry opened up about how his brother had started being labeled a “work-shy will”.
Jumping in William’s defense, Harry wrote, “He did what Pa wanted him to do and sometimes it wasn’t much because Pa and Camilla didn’t want Willy and Kate to get a lot of publicity.”

As it was too late for the mother-of-three to end her tennis club engagement, press secretary Charles instructed that the Duchess should not be seen holding a racquet in any photos.
“Such a winning, captivating photo would undoubtedly wipe Pa and Camilla off the front pages,” Harry wrote. ‘And in the end that couldn’t be tolerated.’
According to Harry, the King and Queen (pictured on Christmas Day) “openly berated” Prince William for “taking attention away from them”.
Prince Harry’s bombshell memoir Spare went on sale Tuesday. The Duke claims his brother and sister-in-law felt “unfairly persecuted” by Charles and Camilla.
As a result, Prince Harry said his brother confided in him that both he and his wife felt “trapped and unjustly persecuted”.
Although the Duke of Sussex does not specify exactly what the engagements were, Kate Middleton attended the GSK Human Performance Lab in Brentford in the early stages of her second pregnancy.

Elsewhere in the book, Prince Harry claims his brother “seemed with anger” after accusing his father and Camilla of “planting” stories about him and his family in the press.
Prince William reportedly recounted an April 2019 phone call to his brother: “Give Pa and Camilla an inch and they take a mile. That’s what they did to me for the last time.”
The Duke of Sussex then says he told his brother his father and stepmother “did the same thing”. [him] and Meg’.
However, the Duke does not specify which story William was allegedly talking about.
But Harry accuses a “gung-ho” member of his father’s press office of “peddling” fake or unflattering stories as part of a “campaign” to get good press for the now King and Queen consort at the expense of other family members.
Harry blamed the same person, who he doesn’t name but says she is a woman, for going on a hunting trip to Germany in 2017 that “turned me into a fat 17th-century baron who craved blood in.” Trophies”.

He even claims he has “proof” from reporters in “actual newsrooms” that he and his brother were sold out. However, like so many of Harry’s claims, much is confused and incorrect.
For example, Charles’ PR team was headed by one man in both 2017 and 2019.
And Harry’s hunting trip was only leaked because locals advised Germany’s biggest newspaper that Harry and his friends arrived in the country on a private jet.
They were also able to find out what estate they were on because he had previously attended the wedding of the landowner, nicknamed The Boar Terminator, and considered him a good friend.
