Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang attended the completion ceremony of the African Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Jan. 11.
This project is one of the milestones in Sino-African cooperation. Qin said the timely completion of the headquarters’ construction reflects Beijing’s tremendous commitment to the mainland and the high level of China-Africa cooperative relations that has been achieved. The Africa Center for Disease Control and Prevention is expected to strengthen the health response capacity of institutions on the continent.
Representatives from China and Africa also signed cooperation documents, including economic and technical agreements.
