With the aim of disseminating research related to philology and communication studies, the Center for Applied Linguistics will host the XVIII. Organize an international symposium on social communication.

He also reported on a pre-symposium course on the 23rd on natural language processing in historical and school texts, conducted by researchers from the University of the Basque Country and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Chile.

The opening conference on the 24th will be chaired by Dr. Luis Fernando Lara, a renowned Mexican professor, on the construction of the Spanish dictionary in Aztec country, the source said.

The Center for Applied Linguistics will present the research progress on the characteristics of the poetic lexicon of Nicolás Guillen and partial results of the fifth edition of the Spanish dictionary in Cuba, he concluded.

For this year, the institution intends to conduct a Royal Academy-mandated language standards refresher course and to continue the Saber andar radio program to spread the correct use of the mother tongue.
