Zoey 101 sequel in the works starring Jamie Lynn Spears, who returns alongside the original cast 15 years after starring in the hit Nickelodeon series
Jamie Lynn Spears has announced that a new Zoey 101 sequel is in the works, with a host of original stars returning for the upcoming Paramount+ flick.
The film, currently titled Zoey 102, will see the Pacific Coast Academy alumni reunite for an adult wedding, reports Variety.
In addition to Spears, who recently appeared in Special Forces, original cast members Erin Sanders, Sean Flynn, Matthew Underwood, Christopher Massey, Abby Wilde and Jack Salvatore will return for the film.

Zoey 102 is currently in production in North Carolina and is scheduled to premiere on Paramount+ later in 2023, according to Variety.
“I am beyond thrilled to be back with my PCA family and to continue the story of Zoey and all the characters fans know and love. As an executive producer, it has been an exciting opportunity to work with such incredible talent as well as with Paramount+ and Nickelodeon,” Jamie Lynn said in a statement obtained by Variety.
Jamie Lynn announced the project on Instagram, posting a photo of her director’s chair with her name emblazoned in pink cursive along with a copy of the script lying on her belongings. Chairs from her co-stars were also included in a later snap.
‘IT IS OFFICIAL! Are you ready…” Jamie Lynn gushed in the caption, adding praise to Paramount+ and Nickelodeon.

Since appearing on the series, Spears has continued her acting career with roles in Sweet Magnolias and various other projects.

She recently returned to the small screens for the reality series Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, where she shared her struggles growing up in the shadow of her big sister, Britney Spears.
Jamie Lynn got emotional after a tough military drill while opening up about Britney, who found world fame as a child and admitted she wants to prove she’s “worth something” too.
During the interview, Jamie Lynn opened up about her demons, saying, “Growing up my sister became famous, world famous when I was very young.

“I guess I just want to like [proving that] I’m just worth something.”
“I’m so proud of her, love her to death, but I don’t know. Sometimes I feel like I don’t really have anything for me,” she continued.
In a confessional, Jamie Lynn said she was “extremely proud” of her sister’s success but also wanted to carve out her “own identity.”
“I struggle with my self-esteem all the time,” admitted Jamie Lynn.
