Florence Pugh opened up about people’s frustrations with her relationship with actor Zach Braff.
Pugh, 27, and Braff, 47, first sparked romance rumors in 2019. The two chose to keep their relationship private for the most part, rarely sharing photos of them together on social media.
However, the ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ actress said in a new interview with Vogue that “people didn’t like the relationship.”
“We weren’t written in anyone’s face. It was just that people didn’t like it,” she told the outlet. “They pictured me with someone younger and someone in blockbusters. I think young relationships in Hollywood are so easy to twist because they contribute to the gossip pages. It’s exciting to see. And I think I was in a relationship that didn’t do any of that.”

Although the relationship was over, Braff had nothing but good things to say about his ex-girlfriend. The two have just completed a joint project. Braff wrote the film A Good Person, which stars Pugh and will premiere in March.
It’s unclear when Pugh and Braff ended their relationship. The actress first confirmed the split during an interview for Harper’s Bazaar’s September cover story.

“We tried to go through with this breakup without the world knowing about it because it was a relationship that everyone has an opinion on,” Pugh said at the time. “We just felt like something like this would really benefit us if millions of people didn’t tell us how lucky they are that we’re not together. So we did.
“I automatically get a lump in my throat when I talk about it.”
