Will quotStupidquot on the big stage in Sanremo

will After successfully passing the final of Sanremo Giovani with the song Le cose piùimportant, he will be the great protagonist from next February 7th Feast of San Remo 2023 and will present the song Stupid. The young artist, who in recent years has managed to carve out a place for himself on the Italian contemporary music scene with perseverance and determination, is preparing for the first time the coveted Ariston stage among the great names of Italian song to enter.

Will, also known as William Busetti, is one of the most original, fresh and charismatic creators of the new contemporary urban pop scene, a true icon who, at just over 20 years old, has made a name for himself through the power of his music and words alone. Will’s world is one steeped in authentic truth, a genuine dimension capable of telling the reality of small things with disarming spontaneity, revealing that crystalline soul of everyday life that only a songwriter can capture. A highly versatile young artist who is able to move fluently between different genres and styles while maintaining his uniqueness. Through musical research, never predictable and predictable, Will’s sound, style and lyrics are now absolutely recognizable on the Italian scene.

Stupido, presented live on the Ariston stage for the first time, will be released during the festival week on the Capitol Records label (Universal Music Italy). “Stupido is a song that anyone can empathize with,” explains Will, “many of us have actually felt stupid and done stupid things at least once in our lives, even for love. The main theme of stupidity revolves around the many declensions and facets of love understood in its most universal sense. The song tells of stories and intertwinings of love in which we lose and find ourselves, that love that, precisely because of the emotions that feed it at certain times of the day, when you stop to think, you feel “small” and in others yourself “huge”. The best time to listen to this piece, in my opinion, is at the end of the day. Every day you experience strong emotions that shape you in some way and that stay in your thoughts until late at night. It is precisely in these moments, in which the images of everyday life flow in front of you, that the piece finds its maximum expression. Stupid also wants to be a slogan: Don’t be afraid to ward off emotions and fragility, it is important to always act authentically and truthfully, even if we may seem stupid at some moments. Even the end of a relationship of any kind where love is the protagonist brings with it wounds, pain and scars that are difficult to rebuild, and while we often lie to ourselves about stupidity, moving on is never easy.

“I am very happy and proud to be able to make my music accessible to such a wide audience – concludes the young artist – grateful for the commission that believed in my project and allowed me to achieve a dream I never could thought it could come true. I hope that Stupido can inspire when I arrive in the hearts of so many people. I can’t wait to experience the whirlwind of emotions of this Sanremo 2023.”
