Around 11:15 am yesterday, several local residents heard the noise caused by the massive explosion that occurred at the Rang de la Rivière Nord store.
The site of the explosion was secured from the elements last night in order to be able to carry out the full investigation, which could take a few days. There is no evidence that it was an arson attack.
The whole little community is upset. The Lafortune family, owners of the company, issued a press release last night saying they were “deeply dismayed by the events”.
A relative of one of the victims also made a touching statement on Facebook.
