Tennis star Ajla Tomljanović says she has no regrets televising her tumultuous romance with ex Matteo Berrettini on Netflix series Break Point
Ajla Tomljanović and Matteo Berrettini laid it all in the open while filming the Netflix series Break Point, which went behind the scenes of professional tennis.
While they mostly appeared as a strong unit throughout the series, their relationship eventually broke down on screen after three years of romance.
Speaking to the Herald Sun on Saturday, the 29-year-old Australian tennis star said she has no regrets filming her love scenes despite how horrible it ended.

“I don’t regret anything just because I think that’s my motto in life,” she said when asked about the scenes they filmed at the Australian Open in Melbourne last year.
‘I think some of this episode [ep. two – Take The Crown]if people can have some take away, [it shows] what it’s like when two athletes are together and the struggles that come with it.
“But I also don’t think there’s really much you can know just by looking when it comes to the actual relationship.”

Although she has no regrets, Tomljanović went on to say that in the future she will think twice about showing so much of her romantic life to the public.
The couple starred in the second episode, titled Take The Crown in a nod to Berrettini’s bid to win the 2022 Australian Open after defending champion Novak Djokovic was deported when he refused to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Cracks appeared in Tomljanović’s relationship with Berrettini, 26, after the former suffered an emotional first-round loss to Paula Badosa.

When the former couple argued over where Tomljanović would be hosting an 8:15 am Tennis Channel interview, Berrettini insisted, “I need to sleep. You go downstairs and ask for a room.’
“I’ll say on the air that you kicked me out,” Tomljanović joked.
‘But they will agree. I’m still at the Australian Open!’ Berrettini answered brutally.

They shared an emotional goodbye later in the episode, but split for good after three years last February.
Tomljanović previously dated tennis “bad boy” Nick Kyrgios for two years until 2017.
They reportedly went their separate ways after Kyrgios was spotted leaving a London nightclub with two women, after which she scrubbed him off her Instagram page.
