The royal family may *officially* stick to their long-standing “never complain, never explain” rule when it comes to Prince Harry’s explosive memoir Spare, but the world’s anonymous royal sources are chatty as ever.
One such unnamed insider got in touch with Us Weekly to share some thoughts on how King Charles feels about the myriad 😳 revelations Harry made in the book, and as you’ve probably guessed, he’s not a fan. While While Harry had much to say about many members of The Firm, Charles seems most concerned about the passages about his wife, Queen Consort Camilla. According to the Us Weekly source:
“Charles is desperate. He is angry and outraged that Harry has made so many embarrassing and damaging claims and it has put him in a terrible position [Queen Consort] Camilla, of course, now that she’s been drawn into the equation. This has really crossed the line in more ways than one, but there are so many outrageous comments and revelations from Harry that his father doesn’t know where to begin. He has hope that with time the dust will settle and Harry will soften his heart for his family, at least he hopes so. But he won’t rush or apologize.”
While the anonymous Charles source didn’t elaborate on which passages in Spare put the monarch in an awkward position with his wife, you can probably bet Harry will call Camilla “dangerous” and reveal that he and his brother, Prince William She actively urged her father not to marry her rank, which was quite high on the list.
Harry even doubled down on the “dangerous” description during a recent 60 Minutes interview with Anderson Cooper, saying:
“She was the villain, she was a third person in the marriage, she had to rehabilitate her image. The need to rehabilitate her image… made her dangerous because of the connections she forged within the British press. And there was an open willingness on both sides to share information, and with a family built on hierarchies and with her on the way to becoming Queen Consort, people or corpses would be left in the streets because of it.
sooo yes Charles apparently isn’t a fan of ^^^ the ^^^.
