It’s one of the most popular shows in the UK.

And now it’s been reported that the BBC is making a new version of Strictly Come Dancing – this time for amateurs.

In the primetime dance competition’s new show, called “Clear The Dancefloor,” ordinary people battle to win over a panel of celebrity judges.

As with other competitive shows such as Britain’s Got Talent, the judges will also be equipped with loud buzzers

Production company Tuesday’s Child will reportedly begin filming in front of studio audiences next month.

A source told The Sun: “The public can’t get enough of dance shows so the Beeb is keen to keep up with demand.

“High hopes are pinned on this sparkling new show and the producers hope it will be a huge hit.

“It’s light, fun entertainment, which is exactly what viewers need when there’s no Strictly to watch.

“Expect to see a few old Strictly stars show up, too.”

The cast of Strictly Come Dancing 2022 is currently in rehearsals ahead of their live arena tour.

In February, the cast of last year’s hit BBC One dance competition will criss-cross the country performing to audiences in various arenas.

Earlier this week, 2022 champion Hamza Yassin spoke about the strong bond he and dance partner Jowita Przystal had and the dynamic of their “trust-based” relationship following their success on the show.

The wildlife presenter, 32, and the professional dancer, 28, appeared on Tuesday’s episode of The One Show to talk about their winning streak.

Jowita said: “It’s going to be fantastic, we’re bringing the live show to the arenas. There is a lot of dancing, many different dances. There will be emotions, tears and laughter.

“It’s going to be a big celebration of what we’ve accomplished all season. It will be a thank you for the support we have received.

Hamza said: “I know it’s going to be so different from the wildlife, it’s a small group and you’re somewhere remote. So that will be a different experience but the group we have is great.
