RENO, Nev. – Actor Jeremy Renner tweeted that he was returning home from hospital more than two weeks after being crushed in a snow plow accident.
The Marvel star had been in the hospital since the New Year when he was injured by a snowplow while clearing a driveway near his Nevada home, inflicting “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries,” his publicist previously told CNN.
Monday night was the “Mayor of Kingstown” star replied to a Twitter post from the show, writing, “Out of my brain fog in recovery, I was very excited to watch episode 201 with my family at home.”
Season 2 of the show premiered on Sunday.
During his long hospital stay, Renner underwent two surgeries and was treated in intensive care.
A 911 call log obtained by CNN states that Renner was “completely crushed under a large snow groomer (vehicle)” and that he is having “extreme (difficulty) breathing.” It continues: “The right side of his chest has collapsed – the upper body is crushed.”
Renner’s snow groomer, a motor-driven snow removal machine, began rolling away while Renner was not in the driver’s seat, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam said earlier.
Out of my brain fog in recovery I was very excited to watch episode 201 with my family at home 🙏❤️🙏
