A driver got the scare of his life after a giant spider ran across the windshield of his moving car.

Queensland driver Nathan was driving on a freeway when the giant spider believed to be a hunter appeared on his windshield.

In a video shared on TikTok on Tuesday, Nathan can be heard screaming as he desperately tries to rid his car of the spider.

“How to Make a Grown Man Scream, Step One: Run a Spider Across His Windshield,” Nathan captioned the video.

The terrified driver can be heard screaming “F***!” before turning on his wipers to try and push the spider away.

Nathan lets out another yell and yells “f*** me” as the wiper pushes the spider onto the outside of his driver’s side window.

Nathan initially had his side window down, but managed to push the open button and close it before the spider could land in the car.

The video has garnered over 250,000 likes and more than 3,800 comments, with many joking that it depicts a “normal day” in Australia.

“The most normal road trip in Australia,” commented one user.

“Tell me you are in Australia without telling me you are in Australia,” another person wrote.

A third compared Australia to the hit 1995 film Jumanji, in which a board game unleashes jungle dangers on its players with every turn.

Other users found the driver’s reaction hilarious, comparing his scream to Homer Simpson’s.

“Lmfao I just peed that scream,” wrote one user.

“Ok, I can’t stop watching and laughing. I don’t think I could swing that high,” commented another user.

A third added: “I’ve seen this about twenty times and can’t stop laughing. Poor guy, I’d have a heart attack.”

Nathan explained the spider reappeared two days later and tried to get into the car through one of the windows.

Others advised Nathan to buy a new car or drive the vehicle through a car wash to try to rid it of its unwanted passenger.

Hunter spiders are non-venomous and not dangerous to humans.

They feed on cockroaches and insects and can live more than two years.

Hunters are likely to hide in dark crevices of bark or rock, and often hide in cars when looking for a warm and safe environment in which to rest.
