Teddy, 10 years old, asks to replace the glasses emoji displayed on Apple with large glasses and two “buck teeth.” The rebellious little boy decides to petition to change things.
Teddy is a young Brit who, at the age of 10, has very mature thoughts. He believes that the famous emoji with the protruding front teeth and the big square glasses is, in his opinion, “stigmatizing” for all glasses wearers.
The boy decides to petition to change things and aims to achieve what he wants: change the emoji. “I’m asking Apple to change the name of the emoji to Genius Emoji and the design to the new one I drew below,” he says, sharing his idea for the redesign: a smiling glasses emoji.
“He has thin glasses and thin frames and a little smiling face instead of the terrible buck teeth. “I like wearing glasses because they help me see better and they are beautiful and elegant,” Teddy said proudly.
His campaign has collected more than a thousand signatures, and he hopes it reaches the ears of Apple executives.
