These are terrible confessions from a 13-year-old girl. The boy, who was twelve at the time of the crime, admitted that he had run over a 60-year-old grandmother with his own car.
Marcia Grant died last April outside her home in Sheffield, UK, reports The Independent.
Shortly after the tragedy, the victim’s family released a touching statement: “Marcia was a warm, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, a pillar of her community.”
Many bouquets of flowers had been left outside Ms. Grant’s home, along with messages of condolence: “She was a beautiful soul” and “I’m sorry for your loss.”
The boy was accused of murdering the sixty-year-old. His identity cannot be revealed.
According to The Independent, he has just pleaded guilty, in agreement with the Crown Prosecution Service and the defense, to a reduced charge of dangerous driving which resulted in the death of Marcia Grant.
At a previous court hearing, the teenager yawned and leaned back with his hands behind his head. He even put his feet on a small wall. One of the officers accompanying him told him to stop.
The teenager will receive her sentence on December 1st.
