Pike County, Missouri, Sheriff Russell Thomas told WAKA-TV that on Tuesday, Oct. 3, a man called police to report finding his 17-year-old son dead on his property.
Mr. Thomas questioned the 14-year-old, who then “confessed to shooting and killing his brother in the apartment.”
The teenager is said to have shot his brother in the house, then the victim stumbled out. He collapsed to the ground and died.
The 14-year-old then allegedly moved his brother’s body about 60 meters to the edge of the property and went back inside to clean up the crime scene.
The suspect’s friend reportedly learned that the teenager had a “detailed” list of family members he wanted to kill.
Investigators searched the house and discovered the list in the boy’s pocket.
