The young painter with around 300 paintings began her artistic career at the age of seven. She has exhibited in several international cities, including Los Angeles.

In an interview with TVA Nouvelles, the Quebec teenager admitted that attending Artexpo is a dream come true for her.

“I’ve waited so long to go. I was selected in 2019. I’ve been waiting for four years, it’s a bit surreal that I can go. I don’t seem to believe in it that much, but at the same time I’m so curious to see what people think of what I do,” explains Mégane Fortin.

“For the New York collection, I opted for more pastels and bold colors. For all of the backgrounds, I made sure there were medium textured backgrounds and more textured backgrounds to ensure consistency and fit,” she adds.

Mégane Fortin looks forward to meeting and receiving advice from international artists to further advance her artistic approach.

She also explains that her art has evolved over the years.

“Seven years ago I wasn’t doing what I’m doing. There was no corridor; I didn’t think that much,” says the young artist.
