A 25-year-old woman was arrested Friday in Ontario in connection with the June 1 murder of Bernard Cherfan at a Laval restaurant.

The 42-year-old man was shot in the head while eating with his children at a restaurant on Boulevard des Laurentides. Known to authorities for his links to organized crime, Bernard Cherfan survived an attempted murder in 2015.
Britney Lewis, of Pickering, Ontario, is expected to appear in the province before returning to Quebec to face first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder, the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) said in a statement.
“The investigation into this case is ongoing and further arrests may be made soon,” added the SQ.
