Pamplona city police have arrested a 43-year-old man in the capital Navarre for stabbing his ex-partner and her mother in the Rochapea district. There is no fear for the life of the 36-year-old woman, who has several cuts on her hands, arms and neck. The deep wound in her arm caused significant blood loss and she remains hospitalized and under observation. The woman has several cuts of varying severity, including a minor puncture wound behind her neck. The prisoner’s mother and ex-mother-in-law, 58, were also stabbed in the leg but have already been released.
The double sexist attack happened this Wednesday around 9:30 p.m. The mother and daughter were in the former’s house and when they left the house, they met the attacker on the landing. The neighbors alerted the police when they heard the screams of the two women and they were the ones who gave them first aid and covered the wounds until emergency services arrived. The two women were transferred to the University Hospital of Navarra.
The attacker fled the scene immediately after the crime and was arrested after one in the morning. He is due in court tomorrow, Friday, and is charged with attempted murder and assault.
