A 78-year-old man is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Longueuil on Saturday evening.
The accident occurred around 5:35 p.m. The driver of the vehicle allegedly struck the septuagenarian, who was walking near the intersection of Daniel and Front streets.
The 78-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured and taken to a hospital where we fear for his life, said officer Mélanie Mercille, spokeswoman for the Longueuil agglomeration police (SPAL). .
Reconstructors from the Longuillois police were scheduled to be on site Saturday evening to clarify the causes and circumstances of the accident.
