Montreal is one of 22 cities hosting a traveling exhibition of 80 works by artist Banksy, known for his anonymity. However, the event takes place without the permission of Banksy himself.
Posted yesterday at 4:18pm.
Those who want tickets will have to hurry, as the exhibition only lasts for three days from September 8th to 10th.
Tickets cost $29. The only information available to the public is on the website www.banksyland.com.
Like Banksy’s unpredictability, the location is being kept secret for now. There is only one postcode announced, H2L 2A5, which is around the intersection of Rue de la Visitation and Boulevard de Maisonneuve.
Ticket holders will only find out the exact venue one to two weeks before the exhibition.
One thing is for sure: we promise more than 80 pieces and immersive multimedia installations that will allow you to relive Banksy’s ephemeral brilliance. Salvaged street art is also promoted.
Banksyland is produced by Lumio Studio and One Thousand Ways. According to the Los Angeles Times report, things are looking promising.
Other media have denounced the proliferation of immersive exhibitions with relatively high ticket prices, particularly in the case of this one about Banksy, an artist known for his anti-capitalist values.
