A Florida woman was unknowingly implicated in a lawsuit brought by singer Luke Combs' legal team after she sold a few thermoses bearing his image on his Amazon page.
Nicole Harness tried to pay her medical bills after a serious health scare by selling mugs and glasses with Luke Combs' image on them. When she checked her spam email after noticing that her Amazon account had been suspended, she had the misfortune of learning that she had just lost a lawsuit brought by the singer's team and that, according to Entertainment Tonight had to pay a sum of 335,000 US dollars.
Luke Combs was unaware of this lawsuit and quickly spoke out to resolve the situation.
“I have a team with me that targets large companies that make millions of dollars from the illegal sale of contraband,” he admitted on his Instagram page Wednesday. “It hurts my heart to see this woman committed to this cause; “This should never have happened,” he then added.
The Floridian was far from competing with Luke Combs' sales team, having only sold about twenty jars online.
The person who ignited the Plains of Abraham during the Quebec Summer Festival in 2022 managed to get in touch with Ms. Harness and assured her that she had nothing to worry about with this huge lawsuit. That same day, Combs transferred the woman $14,700, twice what she had in her Amazon account before it was blocked.
The country singer also announced that he would be selling his own thermos on his website and that the profits would go directly to Ms. Harness to cover her medical costs.
