A car drives into a crowd outside a bar in Pennsylvania, leaving one dead and 17 injured

At least one person died and 17 were injured Saturday after a car drove into a crowd outside a bar in Berwick, Pennsylvania, where a group was raising money for victims of a recent fire, according to police and local media.

A 24yearold man was charged with two murders on Sunday, one linked to the death at the bar and the other to a separate death. Police say Adrian Oswaldo Sura Reyes, after hitting the crowd, traveled to the nearby town of Nescopeck around 6pm local time, where police claim he killed a woman.

The police could not identify the woman or give a motive for the crime. The Times Leader newspaper reported that the Lucerne County Coroner said the 56yearold dead woman was the suspect’s mother.
