An arrest warrant for Joe

A contract reshuffle for this ball carrier

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon has agreed to a contract restructuring that will allow him to remain with the Ohio team.

This was announced by his agent Peter Schaffer to the ESPN network on Friday evening.

Mixon would have started the third season of a four-year deal worth a total of $48 million. His unsecured annual salary would have been $9.4 million. Details of this new agreement were not disclosed.

Also, this reorganization will impact the Bengals’ payroll by $12.8 million.

In 14 games last season, the 26-year-old rushed for 814 yards and seven touchdowns.

The former University of Oklahoma Sooners made the Pro Bowl in the 2021 season.

The California native made headlines last February. An arrest warrant was issued for him for allegedly threatening someone with a firearm. He later pleaded not guilty to the charges last April.
