pregnant with sextuplets

Housewife Quesia Costa and carpenter Magdiel Costa, who live in Colatina, Espírito Santo, have been married for ten years and already have a 4yearold girl and are planning another child. This week they got the news that they will have six at once. Quesia is in her second month of pregnancy with sextuplets. The couple did not undergo any special treatment during pregnancy, which only added to the anxiety on the day of the first ultrasound scan.

Magdiel’s mother Adriana moved in with her son to help the family. And help is also coming from outside, for example by donating prams and other items.

Waiting for the ninth child

In the city of Cariacica, in the Vitória metropolitan area, makeup artist Dayene Lima and her husband, entrepreneur Raphael Miranda, are expecting their ninth child. They were dancers when they met 15 years ago. The two were only children and had a dream: to start a large family.

Both work hard to keep the income going. “You have to be prepared to work in triplicate, it doesn’t even double. That financial part is really the hardest part,” says Dayene, who relies on her family for help to care for the children.
