The Gist On September 2, a 14-year-old American girl discovered a phone hidden in the toilet on a flight from Charlotte to Boston. His family is pressing charges against a crew member and is suing American Airlines.
An iPhone hidden in an airplane toilet to film a 14-year-old girl. As shocking as it may seem, the events occurred on September 2nd on a flight from Charlotte to Boston. According to the complaint reported by The Washington Post, the girl was waiting to use the economy class restrooms when a crew member suggested she use the first class restrooms. Before she could enter the room, the employee allegedly slipped into the toilet and claimed to want to wash her hands. When he came out, he allegedly told her the seat was broken. It was only when she flushed the toilet that the American woman saw an iPhone hidden behind the adhesive on this famous seat.
A trauma
“Shocked and frightened,” the victim “immediately thought that someone had put the phone there to film her going to the bathroom,” TF1’s complaint states. Out of reflex, the teenager took a photo of the hidden device with her smartphone.
When she returned from the bathroom, she informed her parents of the situation. The complainant’s father quickly demanded accountability from the crew member and insisted on seeing the contents of his phone. Without success. The man would have had time to cover up the evidence. Without a picture, the suspect was not arrested.
In a statement, American Airlines said it “takes this matter seriously” and “has cooperated fully with law enforcement in their investigation as safety is our top priority.” The airline confirms that this employee has not worked since the incident was reported.
