A Fan’s Guide to Accessing Little League Spring Training

Major league spring training is still closed due to the lockout, but minor league spring training continues. Games in Arizona and Florida are due to start within the next two weeks, with most clubs continuing to practice in the back courts.

Here are the teams that are allowing fans access to the backfields and attend minor league spring training this year. This story will be updated as teams announce or update their plans.

(Update 3/7: This story has been updated to include Angels, Mets, Nationals, and Orioles fan access to minor league spring training.)

Angels—No fan access to minor league spring training.

Astros—Minor league practice is closed to fans.

Athletics-No fan access to minor league spring training.

Blue Jays-No fan access to minor league spring training.

Withstands—There is no access for fans to the back fields. The tiki bar overlooking the main stadium is open.

Brewers—Fans will be allowed access to the back fields from 13 March.

Cardinals—Fans can access backfields and attend minor league spring practice. Admission is free, masks are not required. Practice will run from approximately 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM ET on most days.

Cubs—Fans can access backfields and attend minor league spring practice.

D-backs—Fans can access backfields and attend minor league spring practice starting March 7. The entrance is free.

Dodgers—Fans do not currently have access to minor league backfields or spring training, but this may change.

Giants—

guardians-Fans have access to fields 1 and 2 on each line.

Sailors—Fans are allowed access to the backfields from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET.

Marlins—A decision on fans’ access to minor league spring training has yet to be made.

Metz—No fan access to minor league spring training.

Citizens—No fan access to minor league spring training.

Orioles –Fans can access backfields and attend spring practice and minor league games starting March 10. The entrance is free.

Padre—No decision has been made on fans’ access to minor league spring training.

Pirates—No fan access to minor league spring training.

Phyllis—Fans can access backfields and attend minor league spring practice.

Rangers—The club is still evaluating the public access policy and expects more details next week.

Rays—Fans can access backfields and attend minor league spring practice. The entrance is free.

Reds—

Red Sox-A fan access date for minor league spring training has yet to be determined.

Rocky Mountains-Fans can access backfields and attend minor league spring practice starting March 7.

Members of the royal family—No fan access to minor league spring training.

Tigers—Minor league practices and games at the main stadium are open to the public. It has not yet been decided if minor league outfield games will be open to the public.

Twins-Fans can access backfields and attend minor league spring practice.

White socks-Fans can access backfields and attend minor league spring practice starting March 15.
