A father offers his young daughter to a sex offender

The father admitted guilt on four counts at the Quebec courthouse on February 21. Judge Steve Magnan must sentence him for advising someone to commit a crime, namely sexual contact. He is also charged with producing and distributing child pornography and negligently storing a firearm.

In April 2022, the Sûreté du Québec opened an investigation after receiving a report that an internet user had posted photos of sodomy on the dating site JALF (Playing with fantasy).

The investigators therefore check the profile of this person; In particular, they discovered a conversation between him and the defendant, who uses the pseudonym “mildNruff.” The two men discuss in detail their preferences for “young” girls.

“This conversation is about sexual boundaries and fantasies. “It’s about scenarios of sexual assault on children,” emphasizes Me Anne-Frédérique Coulombe in a statement of facts read out in court.

His daughter as the main subject

The 39-year-old father mentions his little daughter several times. The two men plan to meet at a hotel to “prepare” for the sexual assault.

“When it comes to sex, all I think about is satisfying myself. I'm losing my morals […] I like incest, if I could do whatever I wanted in fantasies, I would have a very sexual family,” writes the 39-year-old.

During the conversation, the defendant gives his friend “the right” to “fantasize” about his daughter.

“I know you won't hurt him, I'm sure you'll do him good. Would you like to train him? I’m possessive, I don’t want him to be with an idiot for the first time, I’d rather be with you.”

The defendant also often mentions the importance of “deleting” his discussions to avoid getting “caught.” The father is aware of the illegality of his words.

Me Coulombe did not read the entire conversation, which ran to dozens of pages. Judge Magnan stopped her before she continued. The full messages could be read during the sentencing, he said.

The messages could provoke reactions in the courtroom, which was packed due to the number of appearances at that time of day.

However, prosecutors submitted her document as evidence but requested that it be sealed due to the nature of the exchange.

The 39-year-old man was arrested in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures on November 3, 2022, following the closure of the child sexual exploitation investigation unit's file.

Four days full of discussions

The conversation between the two men only lasts four days, between October 9th and 12th, 2021. It only involves words, no pictures or videos are sent.

“The production or transmission of child pornography includes any writing, representation or recording that advocates or recommends sexual activity with a person under the age of 18,” Judge Magnan tells the defendant.

“Through the comments you submitted, you produced and transmitted child pornography.”

The man, who has no criminal record, will appear before the judge next July. He must undergo an assessment by a probation officer with a sexological report.

At the time of his arrest, the Sûreté du Québec conducted a search of his home. In the bedroom, investigators found a gun in an unlocked holster, which explains the fourth count in his file.
