LAS VEGAS — MMA Junkie was on hand to provide live coverage of Friday’s official weigh-ins for UFC 282 fighters.

The early weigh-in was held at the UFC host hotel in Las Vegas and precedes the ceremonial weigh-in for fans, which will be held at 4:00 p.m. ET at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The nearby T-Mobile Arena hosts Saturday’s event, which has a main card for pay-per-view after the prelims on ESPN2 and early prelims on ESPN+.

Among those contending for the vacant title were former light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz (29-9 MMA, 12-6 UFC) and Magomed Ankalaev (18-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC), as well as Jared Gordon (19- 5 MMA, 7-4 UFC) and Paddy Pimblett (19-3 MMA, 3-0 UFC) clashing in the lightweight co-feature, all spotted for their respective fights.

The only error of the session came from champion Daniel da Silva, who was three pounds overweight for his flyweight bout against Vinicius Salvador. The Brazilian has been fined 20 percent of his wallet and the fight will continue as planned.
