A final clip for Angèle ahead of her North American tour

As the North American leg of her tour begins, Belgian pop star Angèle releases a new music video, this time for her latest single, There will be enough time.

Simple, sophisticated, poetic and without any great artifice, the clip presented yesterday shows a different facet than what moves the floors of the world’s largest halls. The 27-year-old Belgian, who was named performer of the year at the recent Victoire de la Musique ceremony, dances there with an older woman, a symbol of the passage of time.

All this choreographed by French star Mehdi Kerkouche.

“The song addresses the notion of time that calms, heals, but also separates. It also refers to the family, to the bonds that are both indestructible and so fragile, to the misunderstandings that can happen in love, or to the conflicts between generations that, for example, grandparents face their grandchildren,” explains Angèle per press release.

“I look forward to further exploring dance without being a dancer. […]to express myself through an art other than music or singing and let myself go for a few minutes. For the first time in a long time, I chose to step into less comfortable terrain that I have less control over, and it gave me this new and comfortable feeling of lightness,” she continues.

Soon in Quebec

Angèle will be traveling to Canada in a few days to begin the North American leg of her Nonante Cinq tour. It will make a stop at the Videotron Center in Quebec City on April 27th before moving to Montreal’s Bell Center for two concerts on April 29th and 30th.

In an interview with Le Journal a year ago, the singer promised a new, more mature concert, the fruit of Angèle’s development over the past two years.

“I learned a lot on my first tour. I had time to perfect myself as a performer, artist, dancer and singer. I’m very excited about the idea of taking people on the rollercoaster of the new album,” she confided.

Angèle is also expected at the famous Coachella festival in California on April 14th.
