It took a while, but Kasimir Kaskisuo suffered his first loss as a starting goalie with the Laval Rocket on Saturday at Mohegan Sun Arena.
In fact, he had won his first five games with Laval since arriving in December. However, he was unable to play against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 6-3 loss, making 25 saves.

The second period was particularly critical for Jean-François Houle's men, as the Penguins scored three unanswered goals in the first two minutes of the period thanks to Maxim Cajkovic, Jagger Joshua and Justin Addamo.
However, the Rocket didn't give up and reduced the deficit to 3-2 with Jan Mysak's second goal of the game. Jack Rathbone restored a two-goal lead over the home favorites at the start of the third period.
Despite another goal reduction from Xavier Simoneau, the Pennsylvania team scored two goals on empty nets to secure the victory.
In the loss, Logan Mailloux collected two assists, making him the leading scorer among American Hockey League defensemen with 35 points in 47 games.
The Laval team will finish its trip of three games in as many nights on Sunday against the Bridgeport Islanders before returning to Place Bell to visit the Hershey Bears on Wednesday.
