A first for St Juste

A first for St-Juste

Quebec native Benjamin St-Juste made his first career interception to help the Washington Commanders defeat the Falcons 24-16 on Sunday in Atlanta.

The former Cégep du Vieux Montréal Spartans player’s “steal” against pivot Desmond Ridder occurred in the goal zone with just over five minutes to play, while locals were threatening to harass seven Commanders players.

St-Juste helped end his team’s three-game losing streak.

Ridder threw three interceptions and two touchdown passes in this duel.

The Ravens win in London

Despite a difficult second half, the Baltimore Ravens were able to prevail against the Tennessee Titans in London and win 24:16.

Trailing 18-3 at halftime, the Titans were unable to complete their comeback.

However, Mike Vrabel’s team suffered a heavy loss. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill left the game in the fourth quarter. He was transported to the locker room in a cart. The 35-year-old center is suffering from an ankle injury.

Malik Willis finished the game.

Tannehill’s loss was in addition to that of receiver Chris Moore, who left the game in the third quarter after receiving a blow to the head from safety Kyle Hamilton. The latter was also expelled.

Lacking those two elements on offense, the Titans relied on running back Derrick Henry to lead the ground attack with 97 yards on 12 carries. The star player scored a major.

In Ravens camp, Lamar Jackson threw one touchdown pass and one interception and had 223 passing yards and 62 rushing yards.

The 49ers are surprised

In Cleveland, the Browns ended the San Francisco 49ers’ five-game winning streak with a 19-17 win.

However, the guests were in a good position to win. During their final offensive sequence, quarterback Brock Purdy drove his offense down the field to put his team in position to score a field goal. However, kicker Jake Moody missed a 41-yard field goal with eight seconds left, allowing the Browns to win.

In the loss, Christian McCaffrey scored a touchdown for the 15th straight game before leaving the game in the second half due to an oblique muscle injury.
