A Ryanair flight attendant must have made every passenger on board a plane salivate last week when he allegedly decided to bake a cake mid-flight in one of the plane’s petit fours.
“I bet the whole plane must have smelled like cake,” one user commented under the video posted on TikTok by employee Miguel Vasconcelos on Sunday and reported by the New York Post.
In the images, which reached more than half a million views on the platform, Ryanair airline employees are seen taking advantage of a long flight to mix cake mix and chocolate chips, as well as eggs, oil and water from the plane’s small kitchen, which is normally used to warm up food.
Then they would have poured everything into a box, covered it with plastic typically used for meals, and sent the preparation into the small oven.
“It’s a long flight, so…” he is heard saying before we see him take a bite of the end result.
While several netizens welcomed the juicy initiative, especially by offering other cakes to try next time, others were more critical of the employee for raising the risks of such an activity in the middle of the cottage.
“You could have lit the oven,” one said, while another instead shot an arrow at airline staff and wrote: “Now I know what you are doing while I wait for my water,” noted the New York Post.
