On Thursday evening (16th), JetBlue Flight 354 from Ontario, California to New York (JFK) had some unexpected surprises for passengers. During the flight, which takes place at dawn and crosses the entire United States, a cat managed to get out of its carrier and got lost in the cabin.
At some point during the night, the cabin lights were turned on and the passengers were questioned by the flight attendant. “Anyone missing a cat? A gray and white CAT,” she said, emphasizing the cat’s size, which looked quite heavy.
One of the passengers took a picture of the moment showing the flight attendant’s facial expression as she caught the fleeing animal. After that, the owner was found quickly and the cat returned to its transporter.
Situations where animals escape on board are commonplace and usually lead to odd scenes like the one shown above. However, transportation on board a compartment is necessary for the safety of the animal and other passengers, there have been previous cases of scratches among travelers and even allergies.
