That’s what Steve Simmons, columnist for the Toronto Sun, said on Sunday.
The 74-year-old was in charge of defending the Sparrows during the 2018 season. He had a brilliant and long coaching career in the Canadian Football League (CFL) which included working for the Tigers-Hamilton Cats, Toronto Argonauts, Edmonton Eskimos, BC Lions and Calgary Stampeders.
He was head coach for less than a season, back in 2008 with the Argos. As a defensive coordinator, Stubler won the Gray Cup five times.
The American made the leap to the CFL in 1983. He has also served in the NCAA and the Arena Football League.
