The National Assembly on Friday suspended for 15 days LFI MP Thomas Portes, author of a controversial tweet about Labor Minister Olivier Dussopt that caused an uproar in the Chamber.
Amid protests from the Insoumis, MPs voted by sit-stand after a session of the assembly’s bureau that proposed the sanction.
This is the most severe disciplinary punishment for MPs.
💬 “I will withdraw my tweet the day you withdraw this reform”
