It was almost well done. Until the police uncover the deception and take over the case. Two young Italians tried to take advantage of the relief of traveling for free while filming themselves on social media last Sunday.

From the first seconds of the video, we immediately understand the deception. “We got lost in the middle of the country and now we’re going to solve the problem,” said one of the two young men. To do this, they film themselves in the best of health, calling for help on 118 and claiming that one of them passed out due to sunstroke: “A friend of mine passed out and I was afraid, I don’t know what to do.” , he no longer answers”.

On the video, which has been viewed more than 50,000 times on TikTok, the caption reads in Italian: “When you’re in the middle of the country and there’s no public transport”.

“I Shouldn’t Have Doed That”

The two men, aged 19 and 20, film everything. The care provided by the ambulance service through the simulation of an illness lying on a bench, the ride in an ambulance… Upon arrival very close to their final destination, the emergencies of the seaside resort of Riccione in Emilia-Romagna, north-east From Italy.

But that’s not the end of the adventure for the two young people who thought they could get away with it. According to local police, the two people were quickly identified by city gendarmes based on their TikTok video. The Health Department of Emilia-Romagna has made a complaint, but that’s not all. They are now being prosecuted for “disrupting public service” and “false alarm”.

Contacted by the local newspaper Il Resto del Carlino, one of the two protagonists regretted his gesture: “I’m an idiot, I shouldn’t have done that.” The video posted on the #ssikerim profile was apparently deleted.
