A girl mowed down by a motorist in Montreal

A 10-year-old girl is in critical condition after being hit by a motorist in Montreal on Wednesday afternoon.

“There were several calls [fiats] At around 3:10 p.m., the emergency number 911 was called due to a collision between a car and a pedestrian,” explains Sabrina Gauthier, spokeswoman for the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

The accident happened in the Lachine neighborhood, near Saint-Antoine Street and 32nd Avenue.

“The victim allegedly attempted to cross where there was no pedestrian crossing. When police arrived, the girl was unconscious on the ground. She was transported to a hospital center. His condition is currently considered serious,” says Ms Gauthier.

Ongoing investigation

However, according to the SPVM, the 55-year-old driver was driving at low speed and was found in a state of shock. He didn’t have to go to the hospital.

Also, an investigation was launched to determine the causes of this collision between the girl and the motorist.
