A hat-trick and a Michigan-style goal for Logan Mailloux

Logan Mailloux made it big on Saturday in Erie. He completed a natural hat-trick with a Michigan-style goal in the London Knights-Otters clash.

The hope of the Montreal Canadiens managed this feat in the third period. With his side leading 2-1, he scored three times in a row in a massive attacking situation to put the game out of reach for the hosts.

Mailloux surprised goalkeeper Nolan Lalonde by quickly completing the maneuver popularized by Andrei Svechnikov and Trevor Zegras to score his third goal of the game.

The 19-year-old defender had previously made it 3-1 with a laser. He’d used his weapon of choice again to flicker the red light a second time.

The London side celebrated a 5-1 win and, unsurprisingly, Mailloux was named the game’s first star.

In 38 games this season, the former Habs first-round pick has scored 17 goals and 36 points.
