Two Palestinian teenagers and a lawyer were killed on Wednesday, April 13, in the occupied West Bank, where Israeli forces say they are pursuing suspects in the recent attacks in the metropolitan Tel Aviv. Specifically, a 16-year-old boy was shot dead in Husan. Another young man, aged 18, died in the village of Silwad, near the city of Ramallah. Finally, 34-year-old lawyer Mohammad Hassan Mohammad Assaf was killed near the city of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.

Mohammad Hassan Mohammad Assaf died “after being shot in the chest by the occupying Israeli army during the attack on the city of Nablus” in the northern West Bank, the Palestinian Security Ministry said. Mohammad Assaf “was a fierce defender of his people,” said the Commission on Resistance to Colonization and the Wall, an agency of the Palestinian Authority for which he worked.

Regarding the death of the 16-year-old teenager, the tragedy occurred during an operation by Israeli forces against Husan, a village near the city of Bethlehem in the south of the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian ministry said in a statement. The Israeli army, for its part, stated that “a suspect threw a Molotov cocktail at soldiers in the village of Husan” and that the soldiers responded by “firing live ammunition to stop the immediate threat”, without specifying whether the suspect is dead.

Finally, the 18-year-old teenager was “hit in the chest by a live bullet” fired “by the Israeli army,” according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. According to the ministry, the teenager’s death followed a clash after the arrest of one person in the village of Silwad, near the city of Ramallah, which also left six injured.
